Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is a group of people, committed to the spiritual center, the pastor, and the vision. Each board member serves a three year period. All board members must have at least one year of Science of Mind 100 classes. They support the spiritual center in both their attendance and their tithes. The board meets once a month and handles the financial aspect of the center

Connie Zekas Bailey, Pastor and President of the Board

I was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, we moved to California when I was seven. I grew up, went to school, in Santa Monica, it was a sleepy beach town then, I started painting in grade school and continued painting from that time on.

I had a career in modeling and acting TV and Movies until I won my Academy Awards Ursula and Matthew.

We moved to San Diego in the early eighties and I continued painting and teaching as well. I had my own gallery and studio along with my daughter Ursula and I became an nat'l known award winning artist. I started going to Religious Science in Vista, where I studied for and became a practitioner and later a staff minister.  I had always been on a Spiritual Quest and when I found Religious Science and Ernest Holmes. I knew I was home.  I have not looked back since.

Pat Macawile, Board Treasurer I was born in New Jersey and lived there till I was twenty years old.That is when I moved to Califorina, got married to my wonderful huaband Ignacio (Mac ) Macawile.We have four children.Three girls and one boy. In 1975 a friend of mine asked me to go to church.That was when I found Religious Science. New Thought, that is what it was called at that time.I took many classes at the Vista church and then moved to another church in Fallbrook where I took a few more classes. And now as you can see I now belong to Center for Spiritual Living San Marcos. So I have been doing this for many years. I love this church and all the people. We are a very friendly group.  In love & light,

I was born in San Gabriel, CA.  When I was 12, I moved to Fallbrook where I live to this day with my wonderful husband Steve and son Kyle.


I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Sociology and am a California Licensed Pharmacy Technician.  My employment background includes over 25 years administrative work in the mental health field.  I am currently working at a Veterinary Hospital.


I was introduced to Religious Science in the late 80’s.  Completed Practitioner training and was Volunteer Coordinator at C.R.S Vista for years.  I was also a Founding Board Member of Life Works Spiritual Center.


In my spare time I enjoy traveling, scuba diving and spending time with family and friends.


I look forward to serving on the board of such a loving church community.

 
Ursula Zekas, Secretary of Board                                                               

I was born and raised in Santa Monica, Calif.  We moved to San Diego in 1983.  I have an Assoc. in Science in Physical Therapy and a BA in psych.  I have worked as a physical therapist assistant for the past 20 years.

I was Introduced to Religious Science in  the late 80's when my mom Rev. Connie Zekas Bailey was attending classes at the Vista Church in Vista, CA.  I am proud to serve as a Board Member and support my mom's ministry and serving our wonderful church community.   

In my off time I enjoy painting, traveling and I am a vocalist for the Jack Stitler Jazztet.
